Additional details
The touch of Modal natural beech wood fiber gives the Pima cotton a lustrous depth akin to silk, but without the cost or special care silk requires. The stitched fabric is deliciously soft and smooth to the touch, with very little pilling. Enjoy the way Shine Sport reflects light from textured stitches and cables; also fine enough for crocheted colorwork. Its easy washability and long-wearing traits make it ideal for baby and kid garments.

This is by far my fave sport weight yarn! Its soft and has a subtle sheen without being shiny. The colors are so vibrant and it has fantastic definition.

I used this yarn to make a sweater. It did shed little fibers onto my clothes while working with it, and was a little bit splitty if I wasn't careful, but this yarn is very soft and smooth and has nice stitch definition. My biggest concern is that the sleeves of my sweater stretched out pretty significantly after blocking, both in length and width. If I roll up the sleeves, the sweater doesn't look bad and is definitely wearable, but it no longer has the fit I intended it to have when I crocheted it. I was much happier with it before I blocked it, so I'm pretty disappointed. It also pilled, especially in the armpits, and left a lot of fuzz on my bra after wearing it for a day. So, overall, I'm not sure if I would repurchase, especially for garments.

I ordered a value pack of some of the shine sport yarn and it is so soft and has beautiful stitch definition! I wish that the skeins were slightly larger, but the colors were gorgeous and I can't want to whip something up with it!

Shine Sport is one of my all-time favorite yarns. It is so soft and smooth, and a dream to crochet with. I have used it for baby apparel as well as kitchen items. I have especially enjoyed using Sky, Green Apple and Blush for baby items. I do caution buyers to check with a crochet.com rep if they are not sure if a particular color is as described. I have occasionally had this happen with this company's yarn; not so much with Shine Sport, with the exception of a discontinued color misnamed Orchid which was actually a dark fuchsia.

Absolutely loved this. Made a baby blanket for a christening present in rainbow + white Catherine wheel stripes. Everyone I work with loved it. Very soft. I washed it before giving on cold hand-wash cycle of front loader inside a LINGERIE BAG. Came out beautifully and just dried it flat in the sun on my sun lounge.

I adore this yarn! I’m a midwife, and at long births I use this to make baby hats. They are soft, warm, and have a beautiful stitch definition, and are still stretchy and light enough for a newborn head. Plus they wear well without getting pilly. I’ve also used it for baby blankets and afghan squares that are the perfect weight and drape. Absolutely the buttery softest cozy fabric that keeps its quality over time. I always have a never ending supply of it in my bag!

O bought this yarn because I was looking for a soft cotton to make sweaters and dresses with .. it works up so nicely.. I crocheted it with a 5.5 mm hook .. works better with a 5mm this is now my go to yarn for clothing.. very happy with my purchase

I too love this yarn!! Hands down, the best cotton I've ever used. Knits and crochets like a dream. Beautiful colors. I've had a poncho design in my head for a while and now it's coming to life with this beautiful yarn.

Oh how I love this yarn! I had been searching for cotton yarn lighter and softer than the dish cloth types of yarn and this yarn is absolutely a delight! The first project I did was for my daughters best friend for the birth of her 3rd child. She has a blanket for each of her boys from me and her request when she found out she was pregnant, please one more, this ones gonna be a summer baby. I loved the hand while working with this so smooth and, sigh.... That blanket has been thru the perverbial wringer in the last 8 months and still looks great and has held up beautifully. I've gone on the make fingerless mitts and a few other projects. The Mitts were a blessing to my sister who is very allergic to wool, she is begging for more!

This is a wonderful cotton blend yarn! Very good quality for making clothing. The macaw green is very nice! If you are seeking a rich, vibrant green color-get macaw!

This yarn is beautiful. It is so easy on the hands, and after washing becomes even more soft. It has a great drape and weight to it and showcases lace stitches really nicely. I am incredibly pleased with this yarn!

Absolutely love this stuff. I crocheted a ripple baby blanket in several colors and it turned out beautifully. I heard the family loves it and that it's holding up nicely. I have also done a Tunisian crochet washcloth and it is so soft and luxurious feeling. The colors are stunning and between that and the texture, I can't find things fast enough to make.
