Brava Bulky - Fairy Tale

The first thing I noticed was the colors; they were beautiful and saturated. Unfortunately, outside of the price, it’s the only positive I can come up with. The thickness is inconsistent. It’s more a worsted weight than a bulky causing meeting gauge requirement difficult and changing the look of the intended pattern. It’s NOT soft. It’s almost as scratchy as Super Saver by Red Heart. After laundering my test swatch ONCE according to mfg. directions, it came out fuzzy, no less scratchy, and was already beginning to pill. I’m returning all but the used skein.

This was the only color I was disappointed with. It shows a pretty blue in the picture but when I received it the color was green but it said Peacock. I will use it and may even order some more now that I know what color to expect. Other than that I'm a very happy customer and I will order other colors in the future.

I'm going to make a sweater for my daughter, I think this is the most beautiful brown I have seen. I live it and I think she will too.

I paired this with the fairy tail it made up beautifully.

I crochet with fingering yarn primarily, but I gave this yarn a try when I needed a bulkier yarn for a project. Since then, I've purchased nearly 20 different colors of Brava bulky because I love working with this yarn. It's so soft and works up beautifully. Lots of color variety too.

This is my first order of the Brava Bulky, which I used to make a crochet pouf for my living room, holding two strands together. The yarn was much softer and squishier than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise! The pouf looks great, and the color is perfect for my neutral color scheme in my home. I am considering ordering more, and making a second one in a complimentary color!

I love working with the Brava. I’ve have used the worsted and bulky. Never disappointed how projects turn out.

I've done a couple projects with this stuff where I couldn't meet gauge for bulky weight patterns, so I agree with other reviewers that it's more like a super heavy aran/worsted. That said, it feels really nice and quality next to skin for an acrylic and I'm pleased with the accessories I made using it! Just keep the weight in mind and make sure to gauge swatch.

I loved working with this bulky yarn! It is soft and easy to work with, as well as, available in lots of colors. It's very affordable and We Crochet run sales all the time! I will use this yarn again and would recommend it to others.

This was my first order and most likely my last. I purchased 6 skeins of Brava Bulky, Sport and Bare. So far every Brava Bulky label has glue attached to not only the label but throughout the skein. Cutting the glue only results in ruining the whole thread.

I really like the feel of this yarn. I don't typically use 100% acrylic yarns and I thought I would try it. It id great for fun-type projects! Will order more colors.

I love the texture of this yarn, but the color in really life is a lot more yellow than it appears online. I love everything I have ordered from here except this yarn....only because it wasn’t what I was expecting color wise. The feel and quality of the yarn is great.

Nice feel but it’s not a bulky looking yarn. I had to buy twice as much for my project as a result. Works up nicely, easy to find the end and very little tangling as I reached the end of the skein.

I’ve used so many balls of this yarn that I’ve lost count - and I can say that for the price, this is some spectacular yarn. It seems very high quality for being acrylic and so inexpensive. It’s soft and wears well. Highly recommend!

I love this yarn it’s soft, finding the start of the ball is easy, colors are great and it’s affordable. I’ve been using it to make hats for the VA to give out and am pleased with the result. Family members are also enjoying hats from this yarn. I think it’s an excellent choice!

I really love this yarn! It crochets up so nice with a K hook. Not sure why people are saying it's not bulky. Maybe they are used to a super bulky. I find the yarn to be incredibly soft and love that it doesn't have a problem with splitting like other soft acrylics I've used. Colors are vibrant and I find it feels like a high quality yarn for such a bargain price. Definitely will be ordering more!

There were two things that bothered me about this yarn. I ordered cream, and was surprised at how yellow it was. I expected it to be more off white. I also had some difficulty with the yarn separating as I crocheted.
