Additional details
When our mills spin our yarns, a small amount is left over from each batch. Instead of wasting it, we work with our mills to create new limited-edition yarns, and this year's Upcycle Alpaca Worsted, a worsted weight blend of alpaca, wool, and acrylic, lends itself to sweaters, cowls, hats, and much more. It is soft enough for next-to-skin wear, but rugged enough to keep you warm all winter long.
Upcycle is made with recycled fibers that vary in size, causing slight variations in yarn thickness from skein to skein. We recommend swatching before starting a project.

Where did the other colors go? I love this yarn but are they coming back or is this getting discontinued?

I am currently crocheting my second garment using Upcycle Aplaca Blend yarn. It is worsted but thinner it seems and is working nicely in a pattern calling for DK weight yarn. I’ve purchased 7 colors and they coordinate beautifully together.

This is such a beautiful yarn! It is very soft and a little fuzzy. I was disappointed the purple I ordered went oos, but the colors I did get were lovely. I am having some difficulty working with it, because My dog is obsessed with this yarn! When I brought the box in the house and went to grab the rest of the mail she already tore the box open and was running through the house with one of the balls. It was a little wet, but a sturdy yarn. She tries to steal it when I am attempting to crochet, so I have only made an ear warmer. I was hoping to make a sweater. I have to store it in a locking plastic box too. Two paws up!

Will definitely buy again. Super soft, great stitch definition, no fuzzy-halo, just a soft, smooth feel. No splitting, and reasonably priced.

Love this yarn! The color is serene. Will be using to make a sampler blanket to learn new stitch patterns over winter. One of my cats hopped into the box as soon as I ripped off the tape. he immediately started purring and burrowed himself deeper into the balls of yarn. He approved before I got to touch the yarn, which feels super. Very uniform and the spin is strongly set, I don't lose my hook through the strands. Crochets smoothly I also bought several other colors to play with er ah with which to learn new stitch patterns. If I ever get through my many balls I will purchase again.

Still cannot believe I got this lovely yarn and three other colours of the same type.for $2.00 each! I was looking for something to use to make a scarf in a stitch new to me….the linen stitch. It is perfect.

Great yarn, soft and luscious. The color is a tad bit greener than I was hoping for but nice just the same.

This yarn is lovely and soft. The color is rich and true to the picture. I am glad I read the other reviews and purchased this yarn.

This is soft with a small alpaca halo and a nice twist. It’s great to crochet with and has beautiful heathered colors. I’m working on a poncho with the buckeye, which is a nice rich warm brown in person. The only thing to be aware of is that it’s quite thin for a worsted weight. It’s thinner than both Cascade Yarns worsted weights I’m using with it and even thinner than a Lion Brand comfy cotton that is labeled as DK.

This yarn is so soft, and it gets 4.5 stars from me. It would have 5, because it really is a pleasure to crochet with, but one of my skeins seems a lot thinner than the others - I actually wonder if I got a sport weight skein that was labeled wrong. I’m still using it, as I don’t think it will make a difference in my final product. And ordering more because I do love it so much! I wish it was going to be here for the long term!

I ordered this yarn in parchment and lilac a while back but just got to using it today. It’s fantastic. I’m on my 2nd ball and have had zero splitting. It’s soft as can be. It’s so nice, I’m getting ready to order more!
