The Tunisian Purl Stitch is similar in appearance and process to the purl stitch when knitting.
Tunisian purl stitch (TPS): Skip the first stitch of the row, bring the yarn to the front of the work, insert your hook from right to left through the front vertical bar, yarn over and pull up a loop, leave the loop on the hook and continue across the row. RetP: Yarn over, pull through 1 loop, *yarn over, pull through 2 loops, rep from *until 1 loop remains on the hook.
