This yarn color is intense. It feels very soft and I am excited to get started. I'll probably add a contrasting color just to set it off, maybe an aqua shade. Love it!

Absolutely in love with this yarn. I've crocheted two hats so far and haven't found any weird joins yet. The yarn is super-soft, and doesn't split easily like some. Not sure yet about pilling, stretch or washing -- but if there are problems I'll revisit this review. I was lucky enough to take the plunge during a luxury yarn sale and I'm so glad I did. Don't hesitate -- grab several balls in multiple colors -- you won't be sorry. Even at regular price, this is a luxury you can't afford to miss.

I got the navy color of this item. It knits beautifully . The fiber is gorgeous. Soft and warm. I am knitting a cabled hat. I am only disappointed that while knitting my fingers turn blue just after a couple of rows. I am planning on washing it with cold water/soft soap and hope that after a wash the problem resolves. Has anyone experienced this issue? know a better fix?

Just received this but the colour is nothing like the picture or description. It is described as silver gray but is actually a fawn/ beige colour !

LOVE this yarn. Disappointed that fewer colors are available. I made two blankets for my granddaughters and now I have a grandson on the way but the colors I need are no longer available.

I rarely use yarn heavier than sport weight but I think Gloss DK has converted me! Incredibly lush and plump but sturdy - I was designing a project and must have unraveled my work 4 or 5 times, but the yarn sprang back into shape without frogging and scarcely pilled. I used Blackberry; a very rich, glowing purple. I let the project soak in warm water with mild wool wash but did not rub or agitate it in any way. The stitch definition is fabulous and the sheen is very sophisticated - subtle than Galileo but very much present. As soon as I have an excuse I'll buy MORE. More colors?

Lovely, buttery soft yarn with good drape and shine; Gloss is a good name for it. I made a long-sleeved pullover sweater in the DK weight with cable details and it shows good stitch definition. I was surprised and disappointed to find it extremely susceptible to felting with ANY agitation. Unfortunately, it also shrank. So, handle gently: NO agitation, NO heat.

Loving this yarn! Please make in off-white and in a mustard color! Some notes for others: Weight seems like worsted weight or close to it. Steel has a slight purple tone IMO.

This stuff is so soft! And it holds the stitches really well so it's a good yarn to start with if you don't have a lot of experience. Plus the colors have a good range beyond the normal pastel colors, so it's great for men's accessories.

I've used this yarn to make toques for gentlemen. Love the variety of colors-- I can convince guys to wear colors other than blues and blacks based on the quality of the fiber especially after project completion. No experience with washing; taking other reviews seriously. Love the color selections-- I will continue to shop this line for gift projects and color availability.

I see many complaints from people about pilling. Of course, going to be pilling because made from real fiber! This is a not an acrylic its a wool, or can be alpaca... Remember if you want to original fiber yarn it's Always going to be pilling! It's natural Fiber! Other ways get some synthetics made (plastic ) yarn.

Bought this to make hats for my daughters. Made a fan and lace beret for my daughter out of a flame red color that I LOVE but I see is no longer available. Accidentally threw the hat into the wash with towels and was so sad because I thought it was too felted to wear. Blocked it again and it still fits my daughter. Also, it didn't bleed red on the towels. I like this yarn a lot.

Beautiful yarn for the price. Subtle sheen. Wonderfully soft after being blocked. Purchased Navy colour - not too dark, with very subtle purple undertones. Look forward to buying again.

I love this yarn. It's so soft and the colors are gorgeous. I'm having a hard time not buying every color available. I have 5 friends who are expecting right now and I'm working on making baby blankets for each of them. This yarn is working out beautifully and I will definitely continue to buy it. The only reason I didn't give it a rating of "excellent" is that sometimes the yarn doesn't seem to be very well spun. It does come untwisted at times but I just re-spin it and continue on.

Love, love love! I love soft yarns and this one definitely delivers! Made a gorgeous scarf/cowl in the Masala color meant for a friend, but couldnt part with it. It's my go-to winter accessory. It's sheen and color are perfect!

Bought a pattern recently that called for Gloss HW (heavy worsted?). and showed a completed project in color Admiral. Are there any plans to produce that weight yarn? I suspect it was a limited special last year. I would prefer to make the pattern in Gloss. A lovely yarn and spectacular for showing cables.

My rating is only based on the colour that has just arrived. The Flamingo colour is more on the coral side if anyone was wondering not a pink with blue undertones.

I love this yarn. It has a soft sheen to it that just adds to the look of your work. I made some beautiful mittens with it and it is so soft on my fingers
