The Raindance Baby Blanket is made using a combination of front and back loop stitches giving this design a soft texture resembling rainfall, hence the name Raindance. Double crochet stitches are worked in unused loops of single crochet stitches 2 rows down giving an overlay effect. The pattern works very well in two or more colors because the contrast shows off the alternating textured stitches to their best. It is a four-row pattern repeat and uses ombre color changes for the purpose of this design. For the most part, the yarn is carried up the side of the blanket.
