Additional details

You'd have to shear your own sheep to get any more natural, this 100% Eco-wool yarn is good for you and Mother Earth. The product of centuries of shepherding tradition, the balanced twist and dense, plump hand give this yarn fabulous definition for textured or cabled sweaters and accessories. No dyes or bleach are used to process the yarn; the eight natural shades are created by meticulously sorting the fiber as it comes off the sheep. As colors are naturally occurring, some variation from skein to skein is normal.

The colors are great, it's not too scratchy, but my plans to make a cowl will have to change because its just not quite soft enough for skin to skin for me. It also feels more like a heavy worsted rather than bulky. That being said, the colors are wonderful and from what I feel of it, it is likely to be durable though I haven't tested durability.

I tried three other "premium" yarns before settling on this to crochet a complex heirloom Aran afghan for my son's wedding. It comes in generous, wonderfully uniform skeins and stands up to reworking amazingly well. Lovely, subtle heathered fibers. I'm fairly texture sensitive, but this yarn is soft enough I could definitely wear it next to my skin. Never splits, and as mentioned in other reviews, the stitch definition really is beautiful. Will definitely be using again... Wish it came in a rainbow of colors, but love that it's all natural. A great value for such high quality.

I received wordsworth grey, but it's browner than the grey shown on the site. It's not a bad color, but I was hoping for a truer grey. It's also slightly lighter in color as well.
