Yarn Bobbin

Yarn Bobbins

Product information

$8.49

Complicated intarsia can be a little easier when you use a yarn bobbin. Flip up the top of your yarn bobbin, and wind your yarn around the center of the spool. Then shut your bobbin, and the yarn in your bobbin is secured. These yarn bobbins can hang off the back of your intarsia project without unwinding. Choose from a small, medium, or large size.

I want to try them at least but mount them some way. I do a lot of mosaic overlay with several colors and also 2 color reverse Tunisian so have worked out a way so yarns don't tangle but its tedious.

I thought this was the answer to my graphgan prayers but they didn’t work the way I had hoped. The yarn is not secured so it unravels easily. If you are working with small amounts of yarn it might work better but they didn’t work for me. Great idea just didn’t quite work.

I love these for graphgan work. I just wish there were extra larges available. I can sit in my big easy chair and slide them onto an old small diameter extending curtain rod and place the rod across the arms of my chair. Then I can crochet away, no tangle, mess, or yarn wars anymore.

I have just started making graphgan and was ready to give up until I found these.

I use these for storing short strands of yarn. When doing a Fair Isle piece I have lots of short strands. I leave a tail hanging out for each short strand on a bobbin. Then I know a bobbin with one strand hanging out will have a longer piece of yarn than one with three strands hanging out.

These are fantastic. After trying card, pegs and various other methods, these are making graphgan work a pleasure. When finishing with one colour,a short pull locks the yarn on the bobbin. No more long ends to untangle. Really pleased with these. Thank you.

I am absolutely in love with these bobbins! So much so I have put more on my wish list!
