Please pay attention to the mm sizes of these hooks before you order. I ordered size 10 it was size 14 American. Much too small. I will reorder a size 6, which is our size 10. The hooks are great! The sizing is way off.

If you're into lace knitting, these hooks are a must-have. The smaller sizes (.75mm and .60mm) are absolutely indispensable for beaded knitting, and come in pretty handy when making lace nupps as well. The non-slip handles are a big improvement over bare steel, and the little protective cap is a nice touch too.

Love this hook. I've been trying thread crochet on and off for a while now and have always been frustrated trying to pull the hook through mulitple loops. Not with this one. The head does not have a severe taper like the Boye steel hooks, and this makes even bullion stitches so much easier. The molded rubber handle is flat on the front and slightly rounded behind, which makes it easy to hold (I hold my hook over the top, the same as I hold my knitting needles for continental-style knitting and find that the flat soft touch Clover do not sit right). Off to buy so more in smaller sizes.

I think I will enjoy working with these hooks because the shanks don't widen. However, the sizes don't match and I didn't take the millimeters into consideration. What I got for a size 6 was the equivalent of what is needed for #30 thread or a size 12 American hook. I reordered the size 2, which is our size 7. Hope this keeps others from getting a hook they can't use.

These hooks have got to be the best thing since sliced bread! I have been crocheting for over 50 yrs and have always used good old steel hooks. With age I have been starting to avoid using thread because of the pain that would develop from repetative sts with such fine thread and tiny hooks. Not any more!!! These hooks are simply the best! And as an added plus to the hook itself is that it comes with a cap to slide over the hook to keep the head protected ~ very nice touch. The length is great on the handle for me shorter than most adults hands also. I know I will be buying a full set of these now since I broke down and spent good money for a hook. I will never again think wow are these expensive ~ they are worth their weight in gold!
