After I started using these, the more I have come to really love them. Smooth, lightweight, pretty (!). I was lucky enough to get this set on sale. Unfortunately, I have to replace the H because my cat decided she liked to chew on it. Hrumph! Only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because there are no markings on the hooks (that I can see) that say what size they are so I have to make sure to keep them all in the original plastic holder they came in.

These are wonderful hooks - they crochet smoothly through the yarn, don't snag or tangle on the yarn, and are just a joy to use. I would definitely recommend these to someone looking for a set of non-metal hooks.

I too, wanted to love these. The person who said hers had silver caps on the ends with the size marked was somehow blessed beyond the rest of us, but that's not an issue for me. Two stars because they are pretty. Looking at the picture they look to have a slight point; they are not at all pointed. Round and blunt. Normally that might not matter, but these feel so fragile there is no way I would force the hook. The shaft, or tapered part, is also so long before it is the hook size so if you crochet close to the hook you will not like these. Way too long of a tapper for me. I bought the set and a size 8 separately. I might use the 8 with some fluffy yarn, but the others are really so dainty and fragile feeling I would be scared to use them. I am not dainty! When I crochet I have to get on with it. Others that have used them may say they aren't fragile, use them just like a metal hook, but I think I will give them as a gift to someone who is dainty. Its really hard to find a pointed hook that has a deeper throat that is in line with the handle with a short tapered mouth. Maybe I need to go into making hooks!?

I bought this set for my daughter for Christmas. She loves them!! Hasn't stopped raving on how awesome they are. She was using the bamboo hooks you find at big box retail store but these are way better. Smooth flowing crochet stitches. Love the color options. Only con I see is this set does not contain the larger hooks and they are all sold separately. Not everyone likes small tiny yarns. Hahaha I prefer bulky yarns with bigger hooks. Don't want to spend a year on a project. That's just my personal preference though. Still 5 stars

I love these hooks from the very first stitch. So smooth. I especially like the way the deep groove hooks the yarn, holds it and pulls thru without losing it. Never used anything like it. Doubt it i will ever use my old books again.

Hands down best hooks ever! They are marked on the silver end, but it's hard to read.

These hooks are incredible to work with - I was a knitter first so crocheting wasn't quite as natural to me. With other hooks I had some issues catching the yarn, but these are great, and the flat thumb side makes them more comfortable to hold than a round hook. Like others, though, I suggest marking the size on the hooks. It's inconvenient to carry my sizing ruler.

I received these hooks as a bridal shower gift! I adore them, the are amazing to work with and beautiful too. The hook holds the yarn while sliding easily thru the project. Like others my only suggestion would be to mark the size on them.

It started out of mere curiosity, with a single 7 (4.5mm) crochet hook, and developed into a bit of an obsession. I was using that hook any time I could, even with yarns that called for a different size hook. I was altering patterns just to hold that number 7 in my hands. Eventually, I had to be honest with myself and admit I needed more! I added a 7.00mm, 8.00mm, and 9.00mm in September. Now it's October and I am longing for the 3.5mm-6.5mm set! These hooks are so light-weight, beautiful to look at, and a pleasure to use. I have no complaints!

The pictures do not do this hook justice. The head reminds me of a swans profile. It has more of a lip than most crochet hooks I've used. I love it. It holds the yarn well. Its also very light weight. If really recommend this hook.

I absolutely love these hooks! I have been crocheting for almost 6 years and have tried a variety of different hooks. I am having a little trouble with the hooks not being labeled with the hook size.

I just purchased the set of these hooks and I am using the 5.5 for a dishcloth. The hooks are very well made and I find them the best hooks on the market. I have tried the steel and plastic but these are by far smoother and more ergonomically designed with the flat side for your thumb to rest against. I highly recommend these hooks and if you can afford the set, purchase it. You won't regret having the set..

I want to love these hooks, but I find it very frustrating that they aren't marked with the size. Perhaps if I had been crocheting for 20 years I could look at them and know what size each one was, but I have only been at it for 3 years. I will have to get a paint pen and mark them to keep them straight. This just seems like an odd oversight by the designers.

i love these hooks! Light, comfy and a dream to work with. great inline hook, but as many have mentioned, the sizes are not marked. i try to use these and put them back in the package when i can but some times i forget. then i have to compare the hook to the others in the set and guess. This has really kept me from buying other hooks outside of this set.

I asked for these for Christmas, after an extensive search I found these, I was tired of using metal and plastic hooks. I have to say they are the best hooks. They are smooth and slide through the yarn effortlessly. I especially love the deep groove at the hook, yarn doesn't slip off nearly as much. The warmth of the wood is very nice as well. I loved these hooks so much I purchased the rest of the set. I highly recommend these hooks, you won't be sorry.

I got the set and they do an excellant job! I can't wait to get the knitting set. Only problem I see is they are not marked, otherwise they are the best hooks I've had.

I love these. I don't even want to put them down, ever lol. They are really smooth and making things is near effortless. They have made me appreciate the process more than the finished product. Oh yes and they are beautiful.

I second the issue with no size markings. If you only ever use one hook, I guess that wouldn't matter. But if you do many different kinds of projects requiring a variety of sizes. . Not being able to distinguish then with a making is a big enough flaw to deter acquiring them.
