Although it's a DK-weight yarn and can be used at an average DK gauge for other projects, Animation really comes alive when you drop down 3-4 hook sizes to create playful amigurumi.

I loved the colors and texture of this yarn. Unfortunately, the yarn weight was much lighter than I expected of a “DK” yarn (CYC 3-light 11-15 wpi). In my hands it worked up like a fingering weight yarn! (I measured 20 wpi). The suggested hooks listed (C-E) are indeed appropriate for this yarn. But, the other yarns sold as DK on crochet.com suggest a significantly larger hook (I-9).

Wow! This is the perfect yarn for your amigurumi!! I wish I could buy individual colors! It’s so easy to work with and the brilliant colors make your design pop! You won’t be disappointed!

Great Dk sample pack! The yarn is easy to work with, it has great stitch definition, and beautiful colors. I wish I could get it in more colors and larger quantities.
