I love Wool of the Andes roving, for spinning but especially for felting. I really wish they decided to keep their old colors along with the new. The new colors are cool tones, old colors were warm. Can't find such beautiful heathered colors anywhere else. The price is substantially lower as well.

I am learning to spin on a spinning wheel and used this fiber for the first time. It is PERFECT to work with! It drafts so well! I am currently using the Amethyst Heather color, and it is just a little bit darker to me than what shows up on my screen, but that is perfectly fine. I didn't buy it for the exactness of the color. Just because it was pretty and I needed some fiber. I can't wait to learn to use my wheel more and I will definitely be coming back for these soft, squishy, lovely fibers!

I am in love with this roving, it handles like combed top and drafts beautifully. The price is amazing. I just wish it came in gray and black. Have been using it with hand dyed braids, plying the multi colored single with the solid single. I get much longer color ways and more subtle shifts. Love it Tim pieces.

I am thrilled with the way my wet felting slipper projects are turning out with this wool. The colors are extremely vibrant and alive. Feel so fortunate to have found your website and wool! This is the only site in which anyone should purchase this luxurious colorful wool! You have me for a long time customer.

I really enjoyed spinning this fiber. I like how the color is saturated throughout the whole piece. I used the Aurora Heather color, and it is a beautiful dark green. The resulting yarn is quite pretty. I would definitely work with this fiber again.

This fiber is lovely! I ordered the 'tidepool' and would say the website's picture makes it look more blue, but I think it's more green in person. It was still beautiful, and drafted great. Love the heathered color, and can't wait to order more! I with they sold the merino blends dyed like these colors :)

I'm not a spinner, but I use the roving to make beautiful dryer balls to use instead of fabric softener sheets. The roving felts beautifully and the colors are gorgeous. I see many at craft faiars.

I buy Wool of the Andes roving for the spinning classes that I regularly teach here in the Southeast. I haven't found any other roving that is priced as economically as Wool of the Andes, at least not other roving that comes in so many colors. With the large color selection, my students can pick a color they want to work with. Since learning to spin can be a little frustrating, having a pretty color to work with, even if you're messing it up, is helpful. It drafts beautifully, too, and makes a lovely yarn whether it's spun on a wheel or a spindle. I keep a constant supply. I love it and I recommend it to my beginning spinners as a good new spinner's fiber.

I'm in love with this roving. It's so easy to draft for a beginner. I hope more colors are added eventually.

These rovings are an absolute joy to spin on the wheel and with a drop spindle. Drafting is smooth and staple consistent - easy to lose yourself/meditate while working with it. Maintaining a consistent draft is much easier than others I have worked with. Also, the colors are vibrant. I've spun the aurora and tidepool heathers into singles and plied those two colors together. It came out gorgeous. Also, I've worked with sapphire heather, which was rich.

They said this was easy to spin, and they sure didn't lie. This roving will spoil me rotten, it's so easy to draft and spin. I'm not a very experienced spinner, but I'm getting a nice, even lace weight almost effortlessly. Will definitely be buying more!

I received my order of Wool of the Andes Roving. It was a very vibrant color. It is also yummy to feel and look at and can't wait to start spinning it. I was very impressed that the picture showed all the color of the fibers in the roving and when the roving arrived there wasn't a difference from the picture to the roving.

The heathered colors are rich and deep, the roving has lister, and it was a pleasure to spin.

I fell in love with the ease of spinning this roving. Soft and it just flies out of my fingers and onto the spindle. The long staple is perfect for beginners. I recommend this to my beginning students for its simplicity to spin.

I love the colors and texture of this fiber. Great for both wheel and spindle spinning. Really great for new spinners and a joy for more experienced spinners.
