Additional details
City Tweed begins with alpaca and Merino fibers dyed two different colors and then blended together to make a subtly rich, lustrous heather. We chose neutral color Donegal tweed neps to incorporate into the 2-ply yarn. Donegal is a series of viscose neps (think slubs or bits of lint) that are suspended in a very fine acrylic mesh which allows them to be spun alongside the longer alpaca and Merino fibers. In the yarn, you won't be able to see the acrylic web at all, and the neps will appear either on the surface of the yarn or spun inside the yarn strand. The high ratio of neps gives City Tweed a traditional appeal. The use of Merino and alpaca makes it soft and warm.

I like the idea of this yarn, and the color of jacquard looks so nice on the website but unfortunately when it arrived, it was not as vibrant in person. I liked it enough anyways so I made my project but after blocking it just doesn’t feel like alpaca or merino. I found it really scratchy so I’m going to try to gift it to someone who might like it. I also hated the neps, they fall out and make a mess and there are so so many! I was disappointed because I usually love knitpicks yarns, but this one was not for me.

I really am loving working with this yarn. I bought it to make a pocket shawl for my mother and it is working up just beautifully! It is the second type of WeCrochet yarn I have used and I will probably be buying more of it in the future.

I loooove this yarn. It's very heavy and comfy (and soft), perfect for a heavy sweater or scarf. I would love to see it in a more cardinal or barn red shade.

First time using this yarn, and I love it! Nice colors and perfect mix of tweed. Soft with a beautiful drape. Warm, but not heavy or scratchy to wear. Made a vest for my husband- he wears it all the time! Will definitely order more.

I never write reviews, but felt I must share how much I love this yarn. It is so thick and plush and LUXE. This is offset by the classic rustic tweed. Such a great value for an alpaca wool blend. Only request is for more colours.

I love this yarn so much, it is soft, squishy, holds up well and is very warm. I want to make all the things with it, except why is the color palette for the worsted version so limited? I'm seriously bummed out about that.

This is amazing yarn. I am making a blanket out of three strands put together of obsidian. I can't say enough about the texture / feel and colour. I just wish it came in more colours. Those who love this yarn, help me encourage them to make more colours for the Aran weight.

I have this yarn in several colors and love it. I just recently ordered the Morning Glory colorway. Sometimes if I look at it just the right way it looks like the pic but mostly it looks darker, which I happen to like even better then the pic! All the other colors I have match the pic for this yarn. I also love the softness of this yarn. It works up beautifully.

I made my mom fingerless mitts and a cowl from this yarn and she loves them. She gets compliments whenever she wears them. I'd love to see more colors.

I absolutely love this yarn! It is so very soft and is really warm and cozy. The color is beautiful, too. I love the weight and am currently using it to make mittens, but I will definitely buy more to make a matching hat and scarf, and a few more pairs of mittens. I'd love to see more colors offered.

I have made several pair of gloves and flip-mitts of this yarn for friends and family members. It is much warmer than any other wool I have used. Amazingly it softens up with use so much that it is hard to believe it is wool. I love this yarn and wish there were more colors. I will keep using it so please don't discontinue it?

I Love this yarn. My favorite to work with. I knit stuffed animals and this yarn is perfect, it's incredibly soft and beautiful. The texture is rich and rustic. The heavy weight is ideal. I only wish the color options were as many as the worsted. I hope to be a customer of this yarn for a very long time... as long as it is available.

City Tweed may look rugged, but it feels lovely on sensitive skin. In January, while the rest of me is still trying to warm up in the car on the way to work, my head and neck are toasty in their City Tweed. Maybe it's time for a City Tweed sweater.
