This was my first time using faux fur yarn and I’m probably going to use it as an accent on baby hats and making little poms and ears because it doesn’t have any stretch to it after it’s crocheted. It’s unbelievably soft though and I think it will be perfect for pom poms.

I purchased the fable fur yarn in 3 shades. In maja (caramel brown), Paloma (light pink) and Lutra (the dark blue). They’re so similar to lion brand’s go for faux! In comparison, the fur on the fable fur yarn isn’t as long, but the finished products seem a bit cleaner because of that. The yarn is so soft. I knit with it, and I don’t have a problem with it. I do use a row counter because you can’t see the stitches very well as you go. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it seems to be inconsistent skein to skein. I first worked with Lutra, and it was awesome. But then I went to work with Maja, and the yarn was rougher in comparison. Kind of weird, not sure if it was just the batch. Paloma seemed fine. But the Lutra shade was just much softer for whatever reason. Despite that, I would buy again!

Love that this yarn has the rib on the back, makes it so much easier to use than other furry yarns I've tried. You can feel the stitch. Super soft.

Love, Love, Love this fur. I have been making trapper hats for presents, and Fable Fur beats Lion Brand hands down. It is softer, many more beautiful colors and more yardage. You just can't go wrong with Fable Fur. I hoarded up Black Friday when it was on sale.

I crocheted a Snow Jacket in white for my daughter’s wedding and it was devine! Great yarn. Take your time and use your fingers to find each stitcH and count stitches after every row, it sounds slow but actually saves time. Highly recommend!

Works up nice. Easier to use in knitting project. Hard to find stitches in crochet unless you use a larger size crochet hook.

A very lovely faux fur yarn! Super soft but sheds strands easily (almost like having a cat!) I made a blanket with about 11 balls of this yarn, though when I washed and dried it, the fur clumped up, resembling shearling texture. It's still soft, so no big complaints here!

Ohhh my goodness, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but I absolutely adore this yarn! I’ve heard different colors have different textures, and I’ve only worked with Kuma, so I can only speak to that, but it’s like the most buttery thing I’ve ever touched in my life. I want to bathe in a tub full of it! You have to use your fingers to find the next stitch, but as long as you’re not too impatient you’ll be fine! It’s really well made, I repositioned parts over and over and had absolutely zero shedding, and it also unraveled extremely smoothly. I’m in love!

Love, love this yarn! I thought it would be hard to crochet with, but it was very easy. I made a sloth for my grandson. So much fun!

I bought 2 skeins of the fur yarn. It is so soft and would really like it in a white color and larger size skeins for larger projects. I would like to make a large 18/20” accent pillow and a throw. I have no idea how to figure the yardage needed! I find getting in touch with you quite complicated for the info I needed. This is why I’m using this form to contact you. I really loved the yarn and had no trouble using it.

i just recieved my order yesterday, and I think I am going to love Fabled Fur! It is so soft and looks real. This is going to be great to line hats, mittens, jackets etc. Also will be great to use as trim on all the above. I bought Mishka to try out, and my daughter keeps pulling it out of the box the cuddle it lol. I want all the colors!

This made beautiful cowls! I made one plain, and one using a möbius design and I LOVE it!! I agree with a previous reviewer: this is not a beginner yarn. It was challenging to see my möbius cast on stitches; but after the first round it was fine. I’m ordering more to make casual throw pillow covers and more cowls for holiday gifts.

This yarn is so soft and floofy! I absolutely love it. I made a cowl in about an hour and it’s so nice to wear I don’t want to take it off. Can’t wait to try it with more patterns.

Positive: Super soft! I have a cowl in progress and can't wait to wear it. I hate having a cold neck and with a wool allergy it can be challenging to find something warm and next-to-the-skin soft enough to wear. Negative: I found three joins in the first ball and one so far in the second. They're not noticeable due to the texture of the yarn, but still...that seems like a lot. The 'core' of the yarn is pretty durable, but the fur rumples easily with frogging and it doesn't take much for it to start looking ratty. I definitely wouldn't recommend this yarn for beginners.
