The Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS) is a great stitch to practice for people new to Tunisian crochet.
Tunisian simple stitch (TSS): Skip first stitch of row, insert hook from right to left under front vertical bar, yarn over, pull up a loop, leave the loop on the hook and continue across the row. RetP: Yarn over, pull through 1 loop, *yarn over, pull through 2 loops, rep from *until 1 loop remains on the hook.
